Blog tour round up: The Mountains are Calling
Over the past week Jonny Muir has launched his new book, The Mountains are Calling, both online and out in the real world. Thanks to the brilliant bloggers who have hosted Jonny during his blog tour, and to all who came along to help us celebrate the book's release at Waterstones in Edinburgh last Thursday. If you haven't followed the blog tour, now's your chance to catch up!
The first stop on the tour was Jonny's own blog, where he discussed the idea of 'beautiful madness.'
Day two of the tour took us to Alex Staniforth's website, for an adapted version of the foreword he wrote for the book.
You're already in the right place for the third stop on the blog tour - Jonny wrote about the selection of imagery for the cover on the Sandstone blog.
Next up, Kate Jamieson shared an extract exploring runners' motivations for heading into the hills for hours on end. Russell Bentley followed with an excerpt on juggling work, family, and running on his blog.
On day six, the tour stopped by Fiona Russell's (perhaps better known as FionaOutdoors!) blog.
Day seven of the blog tour was also publication day! We celebrated at Waterstones Edinburgh with a reading, an interview and a book signing with a crowd of friends, family, and fellow hill runners, while the blog tour visited Ben Mounsey's blog.
If you missed the book launch, Rose George's interview with Jonny features several of the questions asked during the Q&A. Head over to her blog to find her stop on the blog tour.
Last, but certainly not least, we rounded off the blog tour on Dave Taylor's Fell Running Guide blog with a guest post by Jonny exploring what it takes to be a Ramsayist.
