Frederick Lightfoot

Frederick Lightfoot

Frederick Lightfoot was born in West Cumbria and educated at Sussex University where he studied English and Drama. He spent many years in London and has had many varied roles - lecturer in English, Drama and Creatice Writing and working as a qualified general and psychiatric nurse. Frederick spent many years teaching drama and running drama workshops for people with learning disabilities and mental health problems. He currently works as an educationalist in End of Life Care, sometimes working with actors to develop communication skills for staff and running workshops for people with advanced illness. Living in north-west Cumbria, he divides his time equally between writing and his teaching commitment. His previous publications include Migrants (Superscript 2005), Immigrants (Callio Press 2007), Cry/Swans (Callio Press 2008) and Fetish and other stories (Superscript 2009).
