The Adventure Game by Keith Partridge wins special mention from the prestigious Banff Mountain Book Competition
Sandstone Press author Keith Partridge has won a special mention in the prestigious BANFF Mountain Book Competition.
The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival in Alberta, Canada, celebrates mountain literature and film, bringing together writers, publishers, editors, photographers, athletes, adventurers, filmmakers, and — of course — readers.
Now in its 22nd year, its annual competition attracts dozens of entries from around the world – this year nearly 140 books – and Keith Partridge’s The Adventure Game won a special mention.
Commenting on Keith Partridge’s book, the jurors said, ‘The Adventure Game's greatest strength is that of a new narrative voice encompassed in its pages. Partridge lends a unique perspective to the world of outdoor adventure by writing about his experiences while operating a film camera, a profession intrinsically linked to the industry but a view not often told. His anecdotes are engaging and unabashedly authentic. A must-read for all armchair adventurists’
