Hamish's Mountain Walk

Posted by RLD on 24th July 2009

As the first of several important announcements, Sandstone Press is delighted to announce the republication in April 2010 of HAMISH’S MOUNTAIN WALK, Hamish Brown’s account of the first round of the Munros in a single journey.  The book is a classic of mountain literature and has been an inspiration to generations of climbers and hillwalkers.  We will present this great book in a new cover, with a new appendix and new colour photograph section provided by the author.  In time we will also republish Hamish’s other classic works, CLIMBING THE CORBETTS and HAMISH’S GROATS END WALK, and at least one new title.

These books will sit well with such Sandstone Press titles as WHITE RIVER by Jamie Whittle, THE KERRACHER MAN by Eric MacLeod, BETWEEN WEATHERS by Ron McMillan, CAIRNGORM JOHN by John Allen, AT THE EDGE by Joseph Murphy, and THE WEEKEND FIX by Craig Weldon (due 1st September), for which Hamish has supplied a warm introduction.  For a brief, contemporary look at Hamish Brown visit the Sandstone Blog (see Blogspot on the Menu) for the 17th May posting, HIGHLAND SPRING
